Celta flew to Germany yesterday to start the pre-season stage
The team has landed yesterday in Germany to begin the second phase of the pre-season. They will play four friendly games during their stay in the german country. Greuther Fürth, from Bundesliga 2, will be the first opponent tonight at 19:30. Then, Celta will play against FC Nürnberg on Sunday, before travelling to Austria to face Galatasaray on the 22nd. Finally, the last clash will be at Ingolstadt against the local team, which have just promoted to Bundesliga 1.
French media bind Papy Djilobodji and Celta together
According to the french media, Papy Djilobodji is the central defender that Torrecilla was looking for. The senegalese player, who is 26, have played last seasons for Nantes as defender and even as defensive midfielder. The footballer has already reached an agreement with Celta and he even refused to play a friendly game in order to promote his sale. His contract will expire next year and Nantes might be interested in selling him. However, they are not going to let him leave easily. So far, Celta has offered 1.6m euros, but the bid has been rejected.
Schedules: Celta will start the season at Ciutat de Valencia
The schedule of Liga BBVA for the next season is already known. Celta will begin playing away against Levante at Ciutat de Valencia on the 23th of August. Last game will be far from home as well, at Vicente Calderon against Atlético de Madrid on the 16th of May.
The team coached by Eduardo Berizzo will visit Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabeu during the second leg, in particularly on the 24th (on the 14th of February) and the 28th fixture (on the 6th of March), respectively. Therefore, they will come to Balaídos before Christmas: Barcelona will do it on the 20th of September, and Real Madrid on the 25th of October. The galician derby will be held on the 12th fixture (8th of November) at Riazor and on the 31th fixture (3rd of April) at Balaídos.
